There are many different types of pain that can be present in your life and if you don't focus on these details, you are never going to be happy. Most people will try to take care of the situation in a manner that is ahead of the curve and that can only be done when you are taking care of the root cause and not just trying to get by with drugs.
I think I have seen a lot of people who just try to use drugs as a means of getting rid of the pain right away and moving forward for the day. This is a short-term option that is not going to get you anywhere and is going to cause more harm than good, which is not a good thing for anyone that is in this position.
